2023-24 FAFSA Checklist.pdf   Information and checklist you will need when you attend the FAFSA workshop.   You will need to enroll here first before you can register for Dual Enrollment classes at WWCC.  Be sure to check pre-requisites and age waiver if needed.  Upon registration, you will be able to utilize the site and choose the classes you would like.  You will then be approved or denied depending on whether you meet the guidelines.

Wyoming Trucking Association Scholarship Fund

Transportation education scholarships for 2024-2025 school year.  The amount of the awards will range from $500 to $1000, payable to the school the student will be attending.  Applications available in the counseling office.

Medical Staff Scholarship Program

The memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County Medical Staff Scholarship was established to encourage young people pursuing health care careers.  If you are interested in applying and the requirements, please see Mr. Wiest for an application.


P.E.O. Chapter L Scholarship

$500 Scholarship is open to women who: earned a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale during either high school or the
time they have been in college; is seeking higher education at an accredited college, university or
technical school on a full-time basis; is either a current/former graduate of Sweetwater County high
school or homeschool program OR seeking higher education at an entity within Sweetwater County.

Horatio Alger Scholarship (juniors only)

Are you interested in a $25000 scholarship.  Here are the requirements:

  • Full-time high school junior
  • United States citizen
  • Minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Critical financial need (family income BELOW $55,000)
  • Junior is involved in co-curricular and community service activities
  • Displays integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity

The Holy Spirit Council of Catholic Women Scholarship

This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a female graduate.  The scholarship must be used for the freshman academic year at an accredited university, community college or technical school.  For more information and application see Mr. Wiest.

2nd annual Manufacturing Day (Event Passed)

Western Wyoming Community College (Western) in partnership with the Southwest Wyoming Manufacturing Partnership (SWMP) is hosting the 2nd Annual MFG Day on Friday, October 6, 2023 to highlight careers in manufacturing and showcase manufacturing as a S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) based industry.  This event is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Learn more about about this fascinating are of study.

WWCC needs dedicated people who want to help make sure home and away events are amazing! WWCC needs behind the scenes people, doing things like radio and live stream broadcasting, working the concession stand, setting up halftime entertainment, giving away prizes, being part of the stats crew, taping ankles and taking care of the athletes…WWCC needs you to be right there, right alongside the athletes, coaches and athletic department personnel.

UW Summer High School Institute

(Sophomores ONLY).  July 7-27 2024 at the University of Wyoming.  Opportunity to attend college-like classes, share ideas and thoughts with other Wyoming students, develop new skills, network and have fun.  You are responsible for transportation and $275 for this event.  Scholarships available.  Deadline for application is February 11, 2024.  Requirements for the application process can be found at  Check it out.  If you get accepted you will never forget the experience.

WWCC Dual Enrollment information

*Please note that learners cannot retake course(s) that they received below a C for their final grade or if they have dropped or withdrew from the course a previous semester while in High School and it be funded by BOCES. If a learner would like to re-take a course that they received below a C in or dropped or withdrew from the course previously, learners and their families must pay for tuition and books for the course.

ACT test for Juniors (State mandated)

The required test for all Juniors will take place March 26, 2023 in the morning.  Students should be ready to participate starting at 8 a.m.  This test will have no charge.
